What is the "Metabolism" parameter?

The basal metabolic rate refers to the lowest amount of calories consumed during the operation of vital organs of the human body. It shows a gradual downward trend with age. A high basal metabolic rate indicates that your body functions younger and consumes more energy. Conversely, energy consumption decrease reflects the decline of your body function.
